Shaloha

(shalom + aloha)

Shalom and Aloha both mean Hello, Peace, and Love. Both are from places where Steffa has lived for extensive periods of time. Both of the places are part of what make Steffa who she is today.

A New York City  area native, Steffa decided to step out of her comfort zone when she was offered a scholarship to attend Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Iowa was quite a change for the east coast girl, but Steffa really discovered her calling when she studied abroad, an exchange semester in Madrid Spain and semester long field study program in Morocco. This all culminated in starting a thesis involving starting a student run organization called Drake University Interntational Travel (DU-IT), and a report on the study abroad process and returnees  re-integration.

Steffa continued her internatioanal education passion into the professional world, working for EF Education First for the last four years in several different programs, locations, and positions between New York and Hawaii.

Currently, she is pursuing her masters degree in International Education Management at Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California.
